“People Of Joy” Who Are They… This Thursday, 7:00 pm est time on www.BlogTalkRadio.com/Jesusandwe -Le’ts Take It To The WORD..

Miracle whip, tomato and baloney on white bread, is one of my favor sandwiches, but once the sandwich is gone all I’m left with is an empty plate, what a Joy. There are many joys in life that last longer. There is the joy of friendship, a good friend can give you joy for years. There’s also the joy of marriage and the joy of children. There’s the joy of work, especially if in you are skilled in you job. There is the joy of accumulating wealth and other things. For some there is the joy of success and the joy of a hobby or interests. I could go on and on.

There are also destructive and enslaving joys that many people seek; drunkenness, drug addictions, sexual perversion and extra martial affairs. All of these joys are seeking happiness. All of these joys have one thing in common, they do not last and if they are your only joys you will be left joyless, and without joy you will become weak.

Christian should be people of Joy. Not just any joy, but have the “Joy of the Lord.” If we are filled with the joy of the Lord we will be strong. In this, it gives us strength. This is true for us as individuals and believer as a whole or church body. In the book of Nehemiah we can read how he went to Jerusalem to rebuild the walls, not just walls but bring the people back to serving God. He wanted the people to stop grieving and celebrate with a feast once they heard the Word of God, read my Ezra and the Levites. He wanted to rebuild the church. He knew joy was essential.

Joy is mingled together in our everyday living. Nehemiah saw how grief came over the people as they listened to God’s word because of there sin and God’s conviction. He knew grief alone would only cause them to become weak. It is the joy of the Lord that gives strength, lasting strength or lasting joy. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. His joy will never end up like that empty plate; it will last through this life into the next.

“Four Kind of Love, Really!” May’s Study Tell a friend… This Sunday, 7:00 pm est time on www.BlogTalkRadio.com/Jesusandwe -Le’ts Take It To The WORD..

This weeks study is about Four Kinds of Love, Really! Regardless of our race, status, and economics, we value love and recognize it as something that will shape what is good and true. I would like to think that Love, lies at the heart of the Biblical message. Our English word for Love is broad.

Definition: Noun

1. A profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.

2. a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.

3. Sexual passion or desire.

4. a person toward whom love is felt; beloved person; sweetheart.

5. used in direct address as a term of endearment or affection

I will further define the four different type of love in order to gain a more precise understanding. Two of these kinds of Love aren’t even in the Bible but they all have one thing in common, they are from the Greek language.

They are:
o Storge love, which does not appear in the Bible – is a familial love. A love that may exist between a parent towards their child.
o Eros, also not found in the Word of God, is a love primarily pertaining to sex. A physical love.
o Then on to Philia love, is mention in the word of God, and is defined as love pertaining to Friendship.
o And Last but not least Agape Love, selfless love, the love that Jehovah and Jesus has for us. Very Biblical.
