Question: “What does the Bible Say about Soul sleep?”

The Purpose of my Blogs are to uplift and inform…

Let’s Take It To The WORLD

“Soul sleep” is a belief that after a person dies, his/her soul “sleeps” until the resurrection and final judgment.

The concept of “soul sleep” is not biblical.  When the Bible describes a person “sleeping” in relation to death we can reference Luke 8:52, 52 And all were weeping and mourning for her, but he said, “Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping.” 53 And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But taking her by the hand he called, saying, “Child, arise.” 55 And her spirit returned, and she got up at once; she returned, she did not just wake up.

We can also read in 1 Corinthians 15:6 6 Then He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep, it does not mean literal sleep.
